Elgin-St. Thomas Paramedics are employed by Thames Emergency Medical Services Incorporated who are contracted by the County of Elgin to deliver Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Services.

In Elgin County, Thames EMS currently operates 2 stations in St. Thomas, as well as stations in Aylmer, Rodney and Dutton.

• Thames EMS-Elgin employs 75 full and part time paramedics

• We cover over 1800 km2 of response area

• We serve a population base of over 80,000 citizens

• We utilize 6 ambulances and a first response unit during daytime hours

• We respond to over 9500 calls for assistance annually

• Elgin-St. Thomas EMS is a CAW Union environment
